A negative COVID-19 test is no longer needed for entry into Australia and trust is wearing thin as infected travellers fly home.
Australians who return home from overseas knowing they are infected with COVID-19 are not only putting other international passengers at risk, they are placing themselves at risk too.

“People will only get infected by being in close quarters with someone who is positive and unmasked for a period. I tested positive on day four of the conference, an incubation period that ruled out getting it on the plane. I wore a mask at all times, so it most likely happened at a social function, when I took off my mask to eat and drink.”
But as infected passengers pass though crowded passenger halls and sit on the plane, they put other travellers – especially the vulnerable or immunosuppressed – at risk.
