PwC Australia claims transparency on employees’ pay will help improve the gender pay gap.
PwC Australia’s projected pay bands for the next financial year are broad and overlapping due to outlier employees earning well above the norm within each of the firm’s four businesses.for the 2023 financial year, an unprecedented move for the advisory sector that is yet to be matched by any of the firm’s consulting rivals.
“One of the benefits of pay transparency is the ability for us to improve the gender pay gap by giving all our employees visibility of the pay bands that we have in place,” she said.“Being aware of how pay is determined and information around pay bands helps drive conversations and we’ve launched this now as we go into annual reviews to empower our people to ask questions.“This will have a benefit on gender pay equity.
