OPINION: WiseTech founder and chief executive Richard White says the shift away from unprofitable tech firms by workers and investors is helping his firm.
Richard White, the founder and chief executive of logistics software firm WiseTech, says if you want to understand the big shift in the tech sector, watch the workers.
“Our employee hire rates picked up substantially in the last three or four months, quite noticeably, as layoffs have been occurring in the start-up tech space.” The former engineer loves to talk about the idea of making an engine run more efficiently, and insists this is the story of WiseTech’s recent growth.
The incredible pressures on the global logistics industry appear to have helped make WiseTech’s CargoWise solution more valuable to customers; almost 90 per cent of revenue is coming from existing customers.
