Wilbur, a sausage dog that was found by RFS crews all alone near a raging bushfire, has been reunited with his overjoyed owner.
"We lost him about 5pm with his other mate Olly and it was pretty scary. We had fires, and trees falling down. We went for a bit of a walk and tried to find him and couldn't all night. We were up pretty late," Mr Inglis told"Then we got a call, well on social media, that he was in the shelter. We're ecstatic that he's back."As multiple fires continue to burn around their property, Mr Inglis said that he feared the worst for his dogs.
"A couple nights ago… it burnt right up to the edge. It was a big wall of fire. Yesterday the fire that pushed down towards Lake Tabourie and Bawley Point came just through the other side of the paddock. It was hectic."
