A woman has been arrested by police after she cemented herself to the back of a car on the third consecutive day of anti-war protests in Melbourne's CBD.

The activist is understood to have stopped a vehicle on a bridge near the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the location of the event, on Friday about 7:30am.Traffic was banked up due to the incident, as frustrated motorists honking their car horns, while protesters pushed at vehicles that had come to a standstill.
Just after 8am, police put car wheel dollies on the tyres and moved the vehicle off the road to allow motorists to continue about their day.The protester was then told a saw would be used to cut her free.She was freed within minutes, handcuffed and taken into the back of a police truck.Dozens of officers lined the street after the operation ended.
