A 43-year-old woman from Warana on the Sunshine Coast has been charged with dangerous driving causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance. The mechanics died in hospital after being hit by a car on Thursday night.
The woman who was allegedly driving the car that hit and killed two young mechanics while they were working on a broken-down bus on the Sunshine Coast has been charged over their deaths.They were rushed to hospital but died on Thursday nightLleyton Bartlett, 22, from Baringa, and his colleague, Aaron Pitt, 25, from Currimundi, had been sent to the bus at Woombye on Thursday by service company CDC Queensland, which is contracted by Translink.
Both men suffered critical injuries and were transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where they later died. Lleyton Bartlett is being remembered as a man with a heart of gold, a belly of laughs, and a love of adventure.
