"Her demeaner was calm. She was matter-of-fact about what had occurred. She spoke with police freely and that information led us to the location," he said."The couple are known to police and to other agencies. So, there is a history, we are looking into the details of that," he said.
"Obviously this is a horrific incident. It shows what can happen, at its worst, regarding domestic violence." Detective Inspector Pietruszka said woman's partner had extensive head wounds and the crime scene was very disturbing.The alleged victim and the accused had been in a relationship for around ten years and had recently arrived from New Zealand.Neighbours told 9News the couple had only moved into the apartment in February.
They said the pair was relatively quiet and kept to themselves, however, they were occasionally heard yelling or arguing.
