UPDATE: A woman and child have died following a two-vehicle crash in south-west Sydney. Paramedics are currently treating a second child at Menangle Park. The truck driver, who is uninjured, will undergo mandatory testing. 9News MORE:

The cement truck and silver SUV collided on the northbound lanes of the Hume Motorway near Menangle Road at Menangle Park this morning.A truck and car collided on the Hume Motorway in Menangle Park.The truck driver was not injured and has been taken for mandatory testing.The Hume Motorway remains closed in both directions at Menangle Park."All northbound motorists are being diverted off the motorway at Picton Road and should consider using the M1 Princes Motorway or Appin Road instead.

"Southbound motorists are being diverted at Narellan Road where they can use Appin Road to travel south." Live Traffic NSW said traffic is very heavy in both directions and drivers in the area should allow extra travel time.Continue reading
