A 42-year-old woman died after she was rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after emergency services were called to a disturbance at a property.
A trauma team and ambulance were called to the property on Cunnighar Road in Broxburn on Sunday evening at around 7.55pm.

Detective Chief Inspector Craig Higgins said: “Around 7.55pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024, we received a report of a disturbance at a property in the Cunnighar Road area of Broxburn. Emergency services attended and a 42-year-old woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where she later died.
“A 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with her death and enquiries remain ongoing. There will be an increased police presence in the area, however there is no wider risk to the public.” Top news stories today A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 8.02pm on Sunday to attend an incident on Cunnighar Road in Broxburn. We dispatched an ambulance, our trauma team and special operations team to the scene, with our first resource arriving at 8.10pm. We transported one patient to New Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
