A Queensland grandmother says selling her personalised plates online was a 'massive mistake'.
Natalie Franz was in disbelief when she received a notice threatening to take away her driver's licence over a parking fine linked to a numberplate she had sold.She decided to sell her personalised Victorian numberplate on Facebook for $270 in 2021.Ms Franz said she hadn't given it a thought until earlier this year, when she received a parking fine in her mailbox.
He said the fine print also outlines that if the plates are lost or stolen, the owner remains liable for any infringements that are incurred. "We are currently unable to transfer the ownership of the combination from the customer into a new name without this information being provided," Mr Hooper said.
