Police are appealing for witnesses following the smash in Bolton
A woman in her 60s has died following a crash in Bolton which left two other people seriously injured, police have confirmed. Darwen Road in Bromley Cross was closed for several hours following the horror smash on Thursday morning.
Two other people were left seriously injured and were rushed to hospital from the scene. No arrests have been made. Sgt Phillip Collingwood of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "This was an extremely tragic incident in which someone has lost their life and two others have sustained serious injuries. Our thoughts remain with the families affected who are being supported by specialist officers.
