A woman was found with serious head and hand injuries in the gutter.
Emergency services were called to Sherringham Road in Cranebrook just before 4am on Friday after a woman was found lying in the gutter.READ MORE:Emergency services at the scene where the 27-year-old woman was hit by a car.
The 27-year-old was treated by paramedics for serious head injuries and hand injuries including an amputated finger before being taken to hospital.Police are investigating what happened before the hit and run after residents in the area reported hearing an argument on the nearby street McGann Place in the early hours of the morning.
"I just heard, I don't know who it was, but just an argument in my street I came out to have a look but didn't see anything at the time," one resident told 9News.9News understands a person was also found in a home on McGann Place suffering multiple lacerations.
