One of the two women shot dead in a “targeted” double murder in Sydney has been identified as a local mum who was known to police.
A number of bullets had been shot into the car, Homicide Squad Commander Detective Superintendent Danny Doherty said. Following the shooting, several burnt out cars were found in nearby suburbs, including in Revesby, Yagoona and Moorebank.Police remain at all five crime scenes on Sunday, gathering information on the shooting.Doherty said the shooting appeared to by methodically planned, and described it as being “unusual and unprecendented”.“It was a planned murder, an assassination, really, and it’s happened in a public street in Sydney.
