A woman tried to stab a cop after they were called to a neighbour dispute in Springburn.
At 5pm, the neighbour contacted police to report Martin attending at her home.When police were in the neighbour’s home, Martin attended in possession of a black-handled kitchen knife.He removed the weapon from her, and she was placed in handcuffs, before being taken to Govan police office.Martin, who was drunk at the time of the incident, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court for sentencing.Her lawyer explained that her client had been having ongoing issues with the neighbour.
“She’s 62 and been before the court only once before. My submission would be to impose a restriction of liberty order. I’m not sure there is any need for supervision.”
