Northern Territory police have arrested a woman and two teenage girls after they allegedly bashed and robbed a 101-year-old man on a mobility scooter.
Police said the man was attacked by the group on Mitchell St in Darwin’s CBD about 9:30pm on Tuesday.
“A 101-year-old man was assaulted on his mobility scooter by three females aged 14, 15 and 19,” police said. “The elderly man was held by the females and they removed his wallet and keys before decamping the area.”Police said they used CCTV cameras to track down the alleged offenders and arrest them.Detective Senior Sergeant Trent Abbott described the event as a “disgraceful attack on a vulnerable member of our society”.
