Woolworths CEO Amanda Bardwell has had the heat turned up on her just under a month into the job after a confrontation with a disgruntled shopper.
Woolworths CEO Amanda Bardwell has had to fend off the complaints of a frustrated shopper, who led a pro-Palestine encampment earlier this year, in a tense exchange just under a month after starting her new role.
The dispute was filmed by a friend of the woman complaining to the CEO which was shared to TikTok on Megan Guy's account, the customer in the video. In just 16 hours since it was uploaded, the video has notched up more than 354,000 views and more than 23,800 likes. "I really don't believe that. Millions of people in Australia right now have to skip meals in order to survive," she said.The CEO reiterated the company was trying to support its customers and it understood the"incredibly difficult" times they were going through.
