Woolworths has played down concerns that food deliveries could have spread the virus to customers. The employee worked four shifts while infectious but asymptomatic.

The supermarket giant became aware that a female supervisor had become infected on Saturday, before informing staff on Sunday afternoon and then cancelling all online deliveries of groceries from the centre on Monday morning."As a precautionary measure the Customer Fulfilment Centre received a detailed deep clean overnight on the 4th and 5th July.

On Monday, the supermarket giant played down concerns that food deliveries could have spread the virus to customers, some of whom live in Melbourne's most impacted suburbs.
