Pothole city!
Over the last several months the road surface in Brighton Terrace, Darwen, has continued to degrade with more than 10 deep potholes developing along the top end of the street. With recent ice and snow causing further trenches to appear residents have said that urgent work needs to be carried out before it gets any worse.
"It's one of the worst, if not the worst, street in Darwen," Shirley told LancsLive. "I know funding is tight and budgets have been cut but the council can't allow this to get any worse. "It's been inspected and identified as needing patches repairing. There's a similar street, Hawkshaw Avenue, which has got to such a state there are patches upon patches.
