The Met Office has issued a yellow warning with thunderstorms expected. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected to hit Nottinghamshire and other parts of the UK on Sunday, June 18.
According to the Met Office, there could be thunderstorms at 3pm, 4pm and 6pm. to parts of England and Wales, said Met. Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and possible road closures. Flooding of homes and businesses could happen quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, lightning strikes, hail or strong winds. The warning states: "A few outbreaks of thundery rain are possible overnight and during the morning, but the main likelihood of heavy showers and thunderstorms is during the afternoon and evening, with longer spells of thundery rain in places.
