“I was just happy to be invited to this event. As I will explain, it was not always thus,” Bell said. “One of the reasons I wanted to go to the party was that I wanted to meet one of the summer clerks, who kept beating me at various subjects at law school.“With Dutch courage built up over several hours I crashed the event.
“The senior associate looked at Jo , looked at me, looked at Jo again and said to her, ‘you could do so much better!’.
