Further details have emerged about the courage shown by the survivors of the rural Queensland shooting that claimed the lives of two police officers, a good Samaritan neighbour and three offenders. 7NEWS
Four police officers attended the Wieambilla property on Monday, wanting to check on the welfare of a school teacher reported missing.
Clad in camouflage and carrying shotguns Nathaniel, Gareth, and Stacy Train had been laying in wait for the four officers. Brough and Kirk raised the alarm, calling the incident into their fellow officers while under fire from the Train trio themselves.He hid behind a tree and then jumped into the police vehicle while still being fired upon by the Train family.
