WILLIAM LUTHER, STAFF / SAN ANTONIO EXPRESS-NEWSI wholeheartedly agree with letter writer Linda Gil. I’ve never seen San Antonio streets in such bad shape and as dangerous.
All we are told is the road is on the city Public Works Department’s list for repair in 2023. It seems auto insurers might be interested in this issue. I guess, like so much else these days, it takes a life to be lost before anything is done.Our politicians seem unable to secure our southern border from immigrants seeking to escape autocratic strongmen in Central and South American countries.
What a beautiful guest column by Jill Vexler on welcoming asylum-seekers. My husband, who is deceased now, began his life in the United States as an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. He was very young and had a dream of attending the Art Institute of Chicago. Unbelievably, he attained that after years of struggle and strife.
