Donald Trump could come face-to-face with protesters on Wednesday as he holds a rally in the state of Pennsylvania with just one week to go until the US election.

The Republican and Vice President Kamala Harris will make their final pitches in separate campaign events in hopes of swaying undecided Americans to vote for them.

However, it is set to not be an easy event for the former president to manage on Wednesday, with reports protests are planned in response to a comedian's jokes. Comedian Tony Hinchcliffe has sparked anger after he made jokes about the Puerto Rican community during a Donald Trump rally in New York City. Picture: AP Photo/Evan Vucci"I don't know him, someone put him up there. I don't know who he is," he said."It's not the smartest thing to do, to insult people - a large group of voters here in a swing state -and then go to their home asking for votes," a Democratic Party local said.

Meanwhile about the same time, Harris will hold her rally in Washington DC at The Ellipse, a park where her Republican rival spoke before the deadly January 6 2021 US Capitol attack in an attempt to overturn his election loss to Biden just months earlier.
