Kirsty Bryant was unable to carry any more children after a lifesaving hysterectomy following the birth of her first child. The trial's lead gynaecologist, Rebecca Deans, said rejection was always a possibility with any organ donation. Ms Bryant, who lives at Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast, said her journey had come with highs and lows.
"I have a daughter who will grow up and get her period and she will be the only person in the house who gets a period because I don't have a uterus anymore.Ms Bryant said seeing her children develop a relationship was extremely rewarding." really dotes on and loves him so much," she said.Ms Bryant has frozen embryos, to keep open the option of having a third child using a surrogate.
