New to Kayo?Fremantle sit only just outside the framework for their offensive work, while GWS and late risers Hawthorn are on the brink of entering the all-important top six for defence across the league.
Despite their sluggish start to 2024, Luke Beveridge’s Bulldogs have affirmed their credentials with both an attack and defence ranked fourth-best in the competition. “The other two teams that are a close watch are GWS and Fremantle on the edge; they’re the only two teams that can still make the premiership window,” three-time Brisbane premiership player Jonathan Brown added.
“If you’re a Carlton fan or Geelong fan, they are in exactly the wrong spot at the moment, they are down under the line; offensively going okay, not so good defensively,” said Lyon. As for the Demons, it’s their attacking football that’s the biggest cause for concern – sitting in a measly 14th for offence amid a forward line that has struggled in 2024.
