AFL: GWS coach Adam Kingsley says the Giants will take heart from their win over Richmond as they prepare to face locals rivals, the Swans.
The 32nd edition of the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ is upon us in a prime time clash between the two cross-town rivals, with Sydney going in as the heavy favourites over GWS. The Swans are sitting pretty at the top of the table, and fresh off a 32-point win over Gold Coast during Gather Round in a clash they should’ve won by more than their comfortable margin.

Head coach Dean Cox has managed veteran defender Dane Rampe for the clash, who has been replaced by midfielder Angus Sheldrick who returns from suspension. Meanwhile, the Giants have made three changes for the prime time fixture, with Harry Rowston, Leek Aleer and Toby McMullin all called upon — the latter two for their first senior match of 2026. Small forward Brent Daniels has been managed coming back from injury coming off a five-day break, while key duo Aaron Cadman and Stephen Coniglio are in concussion protocols after head knocks during last Sunday’s win over Richmond in the Barossa Valley. Sydney has won seven of their last nine matches against GWS, but did lose their most recent in a wild Round 20 clash last year at ENGIE Stadium. The Round 6 match begins at 7:50pm local time. Watch it live on Fox Footy , and streaming on Kayo, from 7:30pm AEST.
