Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort will become the new joint-hosts of 9News Melbourne in what is just the fourth presenting line-up in the history of the bulletin.
Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort, who are both proud and passionate Melburnians, are taking the reins as joint hosts of the Monday to Friday editions of 9News Melbourne, in what is just the fourth presenting line-up in the history of the bulletin.at Nine, and replaced Brian Naylor as chief weeknight newsreader in 1998.Alicia Loxley and Tom Steinfort will be the new joint-hosts of 9News Melbourne.
As a 9News reporter and anchor, Loxley has had a box seat to some of the biggest stories of the past 15 years, including leading Nine's Black Saturday bushfire coverage and co-hosting the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Victoria Decides state election specials. He joined 9News Melbourne in 2007, where he was recognised by the Melbourne Press Club for his coverage of the Black Saturday bushfires.
"In what will be just the fourth hosting line-up for the bulletin, this really does signify the onset of a new age. Alicia and Tom will bring a fresh dynamism to Melbourne viewers as they follow in the footsteps of Sir Eric Pearce, Brian Naylor and Peter Hitchener.
