The officers were called to reports of one woman assaulting another woman at an address in Lower Plenty about 6.30pm on Friday.One woman was shot dead by police and another woman was treated by emergency responders but died at the scene. Detectives are not looking for anyone else over the incident and believe the two women knew each other.The inquiry will be overseen by professional standards command, which the force says is protocol when a police firearm is discharged.
