Joydip Roy's family has been locked out of the Northern Territory since the pandemic started but in just a few days, he'll get the reunion he's been waiting for.

Temporary visa holders are also able to enter Australia again after Australia's international border has re-opened Mr Roy is a medical doctor who lives in Darwin and is currently working with the Northern Territory's coronavirus team for the Department of Health, helping to administer COVID tests and working with the NT COVID hotline.It was their first visit back to Bangladesh since they migrated to Australia in 2015, and Mr Roy only spent two weeks overseas before returning home to Darwin for work.His wife and daughters stayed on for a few weeks to spend more time with family.
