Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been caught out in an unfiltered hot mic incident at the Pacific Islands Forum in Tonga on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been caught out joking about the $400 million Pacific Policing Initiative with the US Deputy Secretary of State in a raw hot mic moment.

Mr Albanese told the US diplomat in private conversation: “We had a cracker today getting the Pacific policing Initiative through; it’s so important”. The video then captured Mr Albanese jokingly suggest the US might consider sharing the cost of the $400 million Pacific Policing Initiative.
