It's unclear how many branches the screens have been installed at across the nation's almost 600 Aldi stores. "ALDI have CCTV in place across all our stores as a security measure to ensure the safety of our customers and employees and also to monitor for theft," a spokeswoman for the supermarket told 9news.com.au.
"We are trialling a variety of new CCTV technologies across a select number of stores which are in line with all relevant surveillance laws."
