All the restrictions easing in NSW on December 15 | _SarahMcPhee

, Health Minister Brad Hazzard said it was something the state government had “exercised its mind about”.“I wouldn’t be hanging out with too many who were unvaccinated when COVID numbers have quadrupled in the last few weeks.”

Mr Hazzard said they were not about to start “backflipping” on the road map promised to residents and no snap lockdowns were on the agenda. He said the state was instead focused on making sure people were vaccinated and getting their booster shots when they become eligible.Masks will not need to be worn in hospitality or retail settings. They will only be required on public transport, in airports and on planes, and for unvaccinated indoor hospitality staff.

Density limits will be scrapped for all settings, ending the one-person per two square metres rule. Gym and dance classes had previously been capped at 20 people, but there will be no person limit in gyms, indoor recreation or sporting facilities. Music festivals will be allowed for up to 20,000 people.Certain businesses such as supermarkets and shopping centres will no longer need to display QR codes.
