A further 60 people linked to a nightclub in Newcastle have tested positive to COVID-19 as health officials warn more cases will 'likely be' the Omicron variant.
NSW Health on Monday issued another warning for revellers who attended The Argyle House nightclub after a growing number of partygoers tested positive to coronavirus, with many"likely to be the Omicron variant".
There were nine new cases confirmed with the Omicron variant overnight with NSW Health warning"more are expected" as results of genomic sequencing are confirmed. NSW Health is urging everyone of the importance of maintaining COVID-safe practices with transmission occurring at social events during the festive period.NSW Health said this applies to all 680 attendees who checked in using the QR code and anyone who did not check in.
