Federal, state and territory governments agreed on extra funding for the skills and training sector, Albanese said.Prime Minister Anthony Albanese addressing the Jobs and Skills Summit at Parliament House.
"I am very pleased to announce that yesterday at National Cabinet, we reached an agreement between the Commonwealth and every state and territory government to create an additional 180,000 fee-free TAFE places for 2023," Albanese said. Gathering at the summit today included all signs of business, including Australian Banking Association's Anna Bligh, Toll Global Express' Christine Holgate and Fortescue Metals Group's Andrew Forrest.The jobs and skills summit at Parliament House today.The business council and unions settled on principles of agreement to simplify the industrial system, focus on permanent migration and improve skills.
