Australian singer and television star Hugh Sheridan has referred to the Israel terrorist attacks as the “Holocaust of our lifetime” after he was forced to leave the country following a nightmare ordeal.
Sheridan rushed out of the Middle Eastern country on Saturday night local time, admitting the thousands of missiles launched by Palestinian militant group Hamas from Gaza “were way too close.”
“So many families being forced to flee their home in fear of dying. We can’t turn a blind eye to terrorism. We need to remember and learn from history. No one negotiates with terrorists or Hitler." The 38-year-old revealed he was told to hide in a stairwell after the air raids began and that his tour guide quickly left to be on the frontlines for Israel in Gaza.
At the time of the video, Sheridan was still in Israel and about to head to the airport in the hope of hopping on any flight to get out of the country. He showed on his phone the area from where he was seeking refuge at the time, revealing it to be a ghost town after the attacks. The Packed to the Rafters star took to Instagram later on Wednesday AEST again as he described his emotion that he managed to avoid being at the locations where thousands of people lost their lives in the Hamas attacks.
