British Prime Minister Boris Johnson knows he is “on probation” with the “borrowed votes” he won off traditional Labour Party supporters, according to Sky News contributor James Campbell. The Conservative party secured a resounding majority in Thursday’s general election in the UK, while Labour suffered its worst result since 1935.

Following his election victory, Mr Johnson thanked those who cast their ballots for the first time for the Conservative party, saying “you may have only lent us your vote, you may not think of yourself as a natural Tory. “You may intend to return to Labour next time around, and if that is the case, I am humbled that you have put your trust in me". “He knows he’s on probation with these people,” Mr Campbell told Sky News host Peta Credlin”.
