Shameelah Mosweu applied for the visa after she was invited to Australia to participate in a T20 women's clash in Bowral on Saturday.Shaun Martyn, who founded FairBreak, a program which aims to highlight gender equality in women's sport, said he recieved a call from Home Affairs telling him the visa decision was overturned on Thursday afternoon."The reaction [from the public] was just fantastic, it was sort of unbelievable for a lot of us," Martyn said.
The game is being live-streamed globally, with Mosweu now now getting getting the chance to show off her skills on the world stage.Mosweu is set to arrive in Sydney on Friday night and will face the Bradman XI, captained by former NSW and Australian cricketer Alex Blackwell, on Saturday.
