Published:🌡 How much will temperatures fall? By Saturday morning, temps are expected to be in the single digits to low 10s and near 0 in the Poconos and northwest New Jersey. Adding in the winds, the result is very cold wind chills as seen here in our forecast for each hour from 8 am Friday until 8 am Saturday. The coldest wind chills are expected to be between 0 F and -10 F for most locations and between -10 F to -20 F in the Southern Poconos and northwest New Jersey.
Wind chill values of well below zero are expected in the northern half of New Jersey Friday night and early Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.While there is no advisory for Bergen, Essex, Hudson, eastern Passaic and Union, temperatures of 10 degrees or lower are expected on Saturday morning with wind chill values falling to 5 to 15 degrees below zero.
Newark Liberty International Airport could come close to a record low temperature for Saturday, based on the latest forecast, which calls for a low of 8 degrees. The city’s current record low for Feb. 4 is 7 degrees, set in 1996.National Weather Service
