The national construction union has been fined $270,000 for unlawfully picketing two Melbourne construction sites.

The Federal Court on Friday penalised the CFMMEU $215,000. Union organisers Kane Pearson was separately fined $20,000 and John Perkovic $20,000. CFMMEU member Mario Raspudic was penalised $15,000. The CFMMEU was also ordered to pay the ABCC’s legal costs.The fines related to a CFMMEU blockade of the entry gate to a construction site for two massive cold storage warehouses at NewCold in Truganina on May 2017.told two managers to “P*ss off, we’re here, we’re staying.
