General Manager Operations Ryan Baker told 9News the new health and safety move was based on the Chief Health Officer's advice as Victoria continues to record a high number of coronavirus figures.Bunnings workers advised to wear masks in store in Melbourne.
"In line with recent advice from the Victorian Government and Chief Health Officer, we are now recommending that all team members in our Melbourne Metropolitan and Mitchell Shire Stores, Distribution and Trade Centres, wear face masks," he said.READ MORE: "As always, the health and safety of our team members is our number one priority and we continue to follow government advice to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the community."
