A property has been destroyed as multiple bushfires continue to burn in Victoria's Gippsland region.
The most serious blaze in the town of Briagolong remains at watch and act level, with residents put on standby to evacuate if necessary.
"Thankfully conditions eased overnight and continued to ease today across east Gippsland," Country Fire Authority chief officer Jason Heffernan said.A property has been destroyed as several bushfires continue to burn in Victoria's Gippsland region."Today we see challenging conditions in the north-west of the state, particularly for the Mallee weather district, with the declaration of a total fire ban.
Forecasters predict another blast of warmth will sweep across the state tomorrow, before rain later in the day.as firefighters worked in the state's high country. "We've gone out and evacuated some campers, moved them on from the camping grounds," Rawson incident controller Jonathan Wood said on Sunday.
