Mariusz Nurzsynski is given a partially suspended sentence and a Drug and Alcohol Treatment Order after pleading guilty to manufacturing and firing a gun.
Canberra man Mariusz Nurzynski has pleaded guilty to manufacturing a homemade gun and firing it at the car of a man he suspected had stolen his electronic bike.
Mariusz Ergland Nurzynski, 60, pleaded guilty to manufacturing the gun and firing it at the victim's car in August 2023. The man ran away, got in his car and drove off only to turn around and drive towards Nurzynski, who fired at the car, leaving a bullet hole. The court heard Nurzynski "knew how to make a firearm on account of the general principles of physics and inertia".
