Shocking CCTV shows the moment an innocent father was shot after confronting a man his daughter thought was following her in Melbourne ’s south-east. Blessing Valla, 21, was driving home from a local McDonald’s about 12.30am on Monday when she noticed a white station wagon following her. Police said Valla was concerned about the man and called her father, Victor Valla, who said he would wait for her outside their Cranbourne East home. “When she pulled up about 12.
“She said, ‘Dad was almost losing his life for me, trying to look after me’.” Ceceilia said her daughter was “traumatised” after watching her father get shot. “She hasnt slept since yesterday,” she said. Victor is currently sedated in The Alfred and has lost a kidney, Cecilia said. He was set to go into surgery on Tuesday. Police say the attack was random and at this stage it does not appear there is a connection between the gunman, the victim or his daughter.
