Nicola Britton, regional manager for GoFundMe Australia, said: “Over one hundred Australians have turned to GoFundMe to ask for help with mandatory hotel quarantine fees and associated costs of the border closures. For many right now, it’s simply not a cost they can cover. When asked why they had travelled to a regional area, they stated “the grass would have got too long if we didn’t come up” according to a Victoria Police spokesman.
