Six AFL teams will base themselves in Queensland for the duration of the 2020 season, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has confirmed.
Ms Palaszczuk said St Kilda, North Melbourne, Essendon, the Western Bulldogs, Richmond and Carlton, would all quarantine under chief health officer directions on entry to the state.The teams will be spread across locations on the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.The announcement comes as restrictions lift on major stadiums under stage three of the state’s road map, allowing the lesser of 25,000 spectators or 50 per cent capacity through the gates.
