"The last couple of times that I landed in Australia, to go through passport control and immigration - I had a bit of trauma from three years ago," he said. He added that when his passport is being checked, he is also left wondering"are they going to take me, detain me again or let me go?". The federal court eventually unanimously ruled against the Serbian star in his bid to reverse the decision to cancel his visa.

Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan appeared keen to move on from the deportation saga and focus on this year's Australian Open, which runs from January 12 to 26.
