Dr Fauci disagreed with Mr Trump’s claim 99 per cent of coronavirus cases were harmless. He told The Financial Times “what I think happened is someone told him that general mortality is about per cent and he interpreted that 99 per cent is not a problem when that is obviously not the case”.
