Supercars: Broc Feeney is hopeful his fortunes will turn around in Mount Panorama, after a mechanical failure ended his race in 2023.
Another fascinating week at Mount Panorama awaits motorsport fans with the 61st edition of the Bathurst 1000 taking place from Thursday 10th to Sunday 13th October.
The Bathurst 1000 will be the tenth race of the Supercars season with the driver’s championship at a critical point with leader Will Brown 189 points clear of Chaz Mostert and 222 points ahead of Broc Feeney with 900 points up for grabs for the remainder of the season.The Bathurst Street Party kicks things off on Wednesday evening before drivers hit the track with practice sessions beginning on Thursday.
Friday consists of more practice before qualifying gets underway and Saturday includes the final practice sessions prior to the top ten shootout where drivers vie for pole position.Every track session will be broadcast live on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports as well as the Bathurst Street Party. A dedicated channel for ‘The Great Race’ will show every session while also airing The Bathurst 1000 Preview Show with six-time Bathurst champion Mark Skaife and Fox Motorsport host Jess Yates and replays of the greatest Mount Panorama moments to gee up fans for the weekend ahead.The mountain is set to bask in sunshine for much of race week with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a series of lovely days despite chilly mornings for practice and qualifying.
Two wildcards from Triple Eight Race Engineering and Matt Chahda Motorsport join 24 full-time entries in vying for the Peter Brock trophy.
