Former Saturday Night Live writer Kevin Brennan is facing backlash for the sudden death of Matthew Perry. The Friends star was found dead, aged 54, in his spa in Los Angeles on Saturday after an apparent drowning.
Remembering Matthew Perry. Sharing a link to the initial TMZ report, Brennan tweeted of Perry’s death: “DROWNED IN A HOT TUB. The comment sparked outrage from Perry fans, who called the comedian’s comment “cruel and malicious”. “Some loser writer or comedian has decided to try and get some attention ... this one is lower than a snake’s belly,” one said. “Brennan’s comments are GROSS!!!” another said. “This is actually disgusting, shame on you, you’re just trying to stay relevant,” yet another wrote. “This is cruel and malicious, you’re just an attention seeker,” another person agreed.
