Brisbane Airport has scrapped the expansion plan in favour of a new hybrid domestic and international terminal facing the parallel runway.
Brisbane Airport has quietly shelved an expansion of its existing domestic terminal as it turns its attention to a new hybrid domestic and international terminal facing the new parallel runway.
It would have increased the number of domestic gates from 61 to 72, with the potential for a further six if demand increased. The expansion was planned for the northern end of the domestic terminal, off one of the Qantas fingers.“We hit pause on the Domestic Terminal Northern Regional Satellite more than five years ago to focus on the much larger proposed expansion of the airport precinct in and around the current domestic terminal.
